The Canberra Recorder Orchestra is Australia's first recorder orchestra. Lead by Margaret Wright OAM CF, it comprises around 70 players from various smaller groups and classes. They perform regularly in Canberra, including concerts in Government House and the Wesley Music Centre.

There is a yearly Combined Recorders Playing Day, where players from around NSW join the orchestra. Simplified parts for early learners are created for this event, so they can experience playing with a large group.
