Hans-Deiter Michatz

Based in Sydney Australia, Hans-Deiter Michatz is the Classical Coordinator at the Australian Institute of Music, and teaches recorder and baroque flute at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He plays with Salut Baroque and has toured Europe with The Sydney Consort. 2014 marks the start of his pioneering the Csakan, or walking stick recorder, and its early 19th century repertoire in Australia

He has trained many of Australia's leading professional recorder players.
